Nutrients in Noni May Treat What Ails You

Noni is the common Polynesian name for morinda citrifola, also known as Indian Mulberry. The plant is indigenous to India, Malaysia and Southeast Asia and thrives in the rich volcanic soils of Hawaii.

The power of its juice has been celebrated for centuries in the Polynesian and Tahitian islands. The people there have used noni for nourishment and as a remedy for many different ailments ranging from respiratory problems and poor digestion to high blood pressure and immune deficiency.

Studies show that noni stimulates the immune system, regulating cell function and cellular regeneration of damaged cells. Many noni users attest to its effectiveness on an array of health problems, including: weight loss, stress, depression, migraines, digestive problems, respiratory problems, hypertension and inflammatory joint conditions.

With more than 140 nutritionally active constituents identified and numerous books and clinical reports now attesting to the efficacy of Noni, annual sales have surpassed the $1 billion mark worldwide.

Supplement manufacturers today, touting the health benefits of noni, are bringing noni juice into the U.S. market in a variety of forms and blending it with other nutrients to support overall health. One example is Glacial Milk Brand's Noni Complete liquid formula from Innovative Technologies Corporation of America, or ITC.

One ounce of ITC's fortified Noni Complete contains 77 plant-source ionic minerals (the mineral form most efficiently absorbed by the body, according to the company). It also includes 10 of these minerals in fortified amounts, plus large amounts of 16 vitamins and essential nutrients, 22 amino acids, three fatty acids and a blend of 10 sea vegetables.

Because Noni Complete comes in liquid form, it may appeal to anyone who wants to try noni but does not want to take a lot of pills.
